You’ve shown some solid skills in addressing customer concerns, particularly in establishing rapport and demonstrating empathy. Your use of solution-focused responses highlights your understanding of the customer’s needs, and you’ve effectively engaged prospects by asking relevant questions that encourage dialogue. This is a strong aspect of your performance, especially when you utilized storytelling to illustrate the emotional benefits of your offerings. However, there's a noticeable trend in your closing techniques—while you often engage well, you tend to hesitate when it comes to guiding the prospect decisively towards a decision. You could amp up your assertiveness in closing, making it clear that you’re ready to explore next steps with them. Dive deeper into specific financing options or success stories to bolster your credibility and reinforce value. I suggest focusing on either the Challenger Sale or Closing Techniques to sharpen your skills. Remember, it’s not just about making the sale; it's about leading the prospect confidently through their decision-making process. As a memorable coaching moment: think of closing as the final step in a dance—not just a step, but the culmination of the rhythm you've built throughout your conversation. Embrace that and make every closing moment count!

Question:
"I'm worried about how much the monthly payments will impact my budget."
Answer:
That is a very understandable concern. I hear this a good bit considering the cost of pools these days. First off, what have we budgeted for? There are many types of pools out there and I am sure we can find the pool that best fits your family. Secondly are you planning to pay for this project out right or are you looking into financing this? Financing options these days have become almost as easy as buying a car. There are tons of lenders out there and payments durations that make almost everything fit into anyone's budget! Lets breakdown your budget and financing options and see what all I can do for you. If we can get your dream pool into your needed budget you would be ready to move forward into creating your backyard paradise, correct?
Feedback:
Overall, your response is effective in addressing the prospect's concern about the budget impact of monthly payments. You acknowledged their concern and demonstrated empathy, which is important in building rapport. The tone is appropriate for the residential swimming pool industry, conveying a sense of understanding and willingness to help. You asked relevant questions about their budget and financing options, showing curiosity and a desire to discover their needs. However, you could strengthen your closing technique by being more assertive and direct in guiding them to a decision. Question:
"I need to know if this pool will fit into my backyard without major landscaping changes."
Answer:
That is a fair concern. A pool being constructed into your yard will definitely have some impact to your landscaping. There will be a lot of heavy equipment involved in the construction process. We will need to gain access into the desired build area and that will certainly cause some damage to the grass and any hardscapes in the path. With my experienced team we can certainly minimize the impact marking a clear designated path to and from the build site to the street access. We will take measures such as temporary fences, heavy equipment pads for driveways and other construction preventative measurements. With that being said my team will clean the area and specifically the street each, day to minimize the impact on your day to day life. Also once we have completed your gorgeous new backyard paradise we can certainly get your landscaping back to the same or even better condition to fit your new stayation! Are there any other concerns with the construction process that would prevent you guys from getting your new paradise started?
Feedback:
The salesperson effectively addresses the concern about landscaping impact by providing clear information about the construction process and the measures taken to minimize disruption. They communicate with an appropriate tone, demonstrating empathy towards the prospect's concerns. The response also includes a solution-focused approach, assuring the customer that their landscaping will be restored to good condition post-construction. However, the closing technique could be improved. While they ask about other concerns, they could use a more assertive closing technique to guide the prospect towards a decision, perhaps by emphasizing the benefits of moving forward. Additionally, they could have explored the prospect's space needs a bit more to ensure alignment with their expectations. Overall, the response shows good understanding and active listening but could benefit from stronger closing and curiosity elements.

Question:
"What kind of support do you offer after the installation?"
Answer:
That is a valid concern. Pools can 100% appear to be an overwhelming task with all the moving pieces and talk of water chemistry. However, if you prefer to be a "hands off" pool owner, we are here for you 100%! We can come by weekly to clean your pool and pool deck of all debris and balance your water, this way all you have to do is just swim and relax in your new paradise. If this isnt the path you are looking for and you are more of a hands on type pool owner, we have a great "Pool School" training program to do a hands on teaching of how to take care of every aspect of your new staycation space! We will teach you how to operate your equipment, how to vacuum, how to clean your filters, how to balance your water and any other concern you may have. This whole training is also recorded and will be in your possession to refer back to if anything was to ever stump you. Also we are here for you after the completion of your pool as well. You will be provided with multiple points of contact that will be happy to answer questions that may come up as well. Lastly during the construction of your pool, keeping it easy to maintain is a major part of our process. Your skimmer(s) will be placed is the optimal locations with your returns to help keep your pool surface free of debris and we will provide a robotic vacuum to keep the pool bottom clean too! Pool are much simpler than they used to be. Do you have any concerns you have heard of currently from others with pools that I can answer to help ease this concern? Is there anything about owning a new pool that would keep you from diving into this build now?
Feedback:
The response effectively addresses the concern about post-installation support by outlining both hands-on maintenance options and educational resources. The tone is reassuring and informative, which is fitting for the residential swimming pool industry. The mention of a "Pool School" and recorded training adds significant value and demonstrates a commitment to customer support. However, the response is somewhat lengthy and could benefit from being more concise to maintain engagement. The closing questions are excellent, showing curiosity and a desire to uncover further objections. Overall, this response could improve by being slightly more succinct while maintaining the positive and supportive tone.

Question:
"Can you explain how this pool is better than the one my neighbor just got?"
Answer:
That is simple, this one is in your yard! I am kidding. What is it about their pool that you love? What is it about their pool that you dislike? Was there something their contractor did that really made them happy? What made you decide to call us since you are familiar with your neighbor's pool? I can't personally speak for your neighbors build, but I can speak for the quality of my pool construction. I can guarantee that will do every step of the process exactly how it is intended to be done. My team will cut no corners and will communicate every step of the process with you before the build and give reminders and answer any questions during the build as well. My main goal in every single build we do is to make sure that when someone comes to your home and compliments your new pool, you are happy to brag about who did this gorgeous paradise for you. We are 100% committed to your satisfaction and will be here for your every concern. Are there any questions you have for me about your new pool before we move forward?
Feedback:
The response effectively acknowledges the objection by inviting the prospect to share their thoughts on their neighbor's pool, which shows curiosity and discovery. The humor used at the beginning is light-hearted and helps to engage the prospect, although it might come off as slightly dismissive if not well-received. The salesperson does a good job of highlighting their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, which aligns with a solution-focused approach. However, the response could benefit from more specific comparisons between the two pools based on features or benefits that address the prospect's concerns directly. There is a clear attempt to build rapport and encourage questions, but the closing could be more assertive to guide the conversation toward a decision. Overall, this response scores well for engagement and communication but could improve on value exploration and specificity. Score: 7

Question:
"I'm not sure this is the right time for such an investment with everything going on in the economy."
Answer:
that is a very real and understandable concern. There are a lot of people that feel uncertain about the future currently. We do have some great financing options available such as home equity or banks the specialize in pool financing, such as HFS Financial and Lyon Financial. Their terms make this investment much more palatable for most homeowners. The main thing to consider though is, can you truly but a price on memories? Picture this with me, you come home from a long day of work and hear your kids out back with your better half having a great time in your new paradise. your get to walk in, get your swimsuit on and go jump right into that great memory every single day! Now also picture this with me you plan a great vacation to your favorite beach, staying at your favorite condo and it rains the entire time you are there! This vacation is right in your backyard! every long weekend and all the holidays are right in your backyard right in your new paradise! The economy will almost always be a concern with an investment like this, but memories with your loved ones are always the perfect rock to fall back on. Is there anything besides the economy that is holding this decision back? We can get online or on the phone now to discuss the financing options that best fit you and your family.
Feedback:
The response effectively acknowledges the prospect's concern about the timing of the investment due to economic uncertainty, which is a great start in building rapport. By providing financing options, the salesperson addresses the objection with a solution-focused approach. The storytelling element helps in visualizing the long-term benefits and emotional value of having a pool, which is essential in residential sales. However, the closing feels a bit rushed; instead of jumping straight to discussing financing options, the salesperson could have taken a moment to further explore the prospect's feelings or any other hesitations they might have, which would show active listening and curiosity. Overall, the tone is warm and relatable, making it suitable for the industry. The response could have been improved by emphasizing a more collaborative approach in discussing concerns beyond the economy. Score: 8/10

Question:
"I've heard mixed reviews about your company; how can I trust that you'll deliver?"
Answer:
reviews are certainly something to check into before you make a decision like this. Was there anything specific that you have a concern about? We take every review as an opportunity to learn and grow. if there is anything we have not executed at 100% in the past I can assure you my team and I have taken that very seriously and will not allow solid criticism to slip by without learning what was needed. I can assure you we are here to do our best and meet all of your needs and address all of your concerns. I am excited to work with you and your family to ensure an amazing build and post build support. What do you need from me to move forward with your new paradise?
Feedback:
The response effectively acknowledges the prospect's concern about mixed reviews, which is a good start. By asking if there's anything specific they are worried about, you demonstrate curiosity and a willingness to engage in a dialogue. However, the response could benefit from more direct reassurance about the company's strengths and successes, perhaps by highlighting positive testimonials or case studies to balance out the negative perceptions. Additionally, while your tone is generally positive and enthusiastic, it could be more confident by emphasizing your company's commitment to customer satisfaction and quality. The closing question is engaging and invites dialogue, which is great for collaboration. Overall, a good effort but needs a bit more focus on demonstrating value and addressing trust directly. Question:
"What if my family doesn't end up using the pool as much as I expect?"
Answer:
That is a valid concern, I am sure you have had or heard of friends that do not use their pool as much as they had hoped. Have you had the opportunity to ask them if there were something they would like to change about their pool? Generally speaking, when a pool is not used as much as one had hoped, there was something missed during the construction process. Not to blame their builder, but as a homeowner you do not know what you do not know about your pool build. You do not build these everyday. Luckily I do! I am will be here to guide you through the design process to ensure everything is thought of and this new paradise turns out exactly how you had hoped and all you can think about when you're not in your new pool is when you can get into your new pool! We have a long list of very satisfied clients that use their pools almost everyday they possibly can. we are happy to provide those references for you so you can talk about things they have done to make their space perfect! Lets start by diving deeper into your needs and wants for this staycation space. another thing to consider is the financial gain to your property of around 30% of the cost of your build to your property value! So even if for some reason you guys ended up having a lifestyle change at least you have added value to your home and definitely some major curb appeal. Lets start working on your design!
Feedback:
The response effectively acknowledges the prospect's concern about pool usage, which shows active listening and empathy. By referencing the experiences of others, it helps normalize the concern. The salesperson also uses a collaborative approach by suggesting a deeper discussion about the prospect's needs and wants, which aligns with consultative selling techniques. However, the response could be more concise and focused on a solution-oriented approach without becoming overly lengthy or convoluted. Additionally, while the mention of property value is a good point, it could be tied back more explicitly to alleviating the concern about actual usage. Overall, the tone is friendly and informative but could benefit from a more streamlined closing technique to create a sense of urgency or excitement about moving forward. Score: 7

Question:
"I want to make sure this pool won't require a lot of maintenance; can you explain that?"
Answer:
Absolutely! I hear that a lot. Pools have come a long way in the recent years and require a fraction of the time they used to, to keep them clean and swim ready. There are tons of things now that keep your time spent swimming instead of cleaning and working on your pool. The first and main one is us! we provide a service to come by weekly and keep your pool in pristine condition. secondly your pool will be designed in a manner that will ensure proper water circulation to help keep the surface clean and the water moved into every spot of the pool to make sure your pool chemicals can best to their job. Lastly the pool chemistry is much simpler these days. All you need to do, if you chose to take care of the pool alone is grab a water bottle, open the lid, stick your bottle elbow deep in the deep end of your pool, fill up the bottle and bring it to my store. There we can give you a perfect read out of your water chemistry and give your step by step, ounce by ounce instructions of what and when to add the needed chemicals to your pool to maintain the perfect eyedrop like chemistry to your pool water! Was there any specific questions you have about pool maintenance I can directly answer for you? Lets get this pool designed and your start date planned!
Feedback:
The response effectively addresses the concern about maintenance by highlighting advancements in pool technology and the availability of services to reduce upkeep. The tone is friendly and informative, which is appropriate for residential sales. However, the closing technique could be more assertive; instead of hastily jumping to scheduling, it should focus on confirming the prospect's understanding and comfort with the maintenance process first. While it does ask for further questions, it could benefit from a more structured approach to explore specific issues the prospect might have. The explanation about water chemistry is good, but it could have been clearer and more concise. Overall, it shows understanding and a solution-focused approach, but could improve in closing effectiveness and clarity.

Question:
"How do I know that this pool design will be a good fit for my family's lifestyle?"
Answer:
That is a great question and exactly what I am here for! How do you see your family using this pool? How many kids do you have? Boys or girls? grandbabies? do we need a lot of shallow space for playing games or do we need a deeper deep end for diving in? do you plan to invite the neighborhood over everyday or are you guys more of just the family with a friend or two type? Do you like clean lines or are you looking for more of a lagoon style design? Lets go take a look at your yard space and talk about what options you have to have, want to have and could careless about. Then I will do a 3D rendering of this idea and present it to you. This way we can make sure the ideas that I have are exactly what you have dreamed of and we can make any adjustments needed to make this pool perfect for you and your family! Once we have the design line out is there anything else that would keep you from wanting to move forward?
Feedback:
The response effectively addresses the customer's concern by asking thoughtful and open-ended questions that encourage the prospect to share their family's specific needs and preferences. This demonstrates active listening and a solution-focused approach. The transition to discussing a 3D rendering is also a strong point, as it adds value and visualizes the idea for the customer. However, the closing question at the end could be refined to be more direct, perhaps by summarizing the benefits discussed before prompting for moving forward. Overall, the tone is friendly and engaging, suitable for the residential pool industry. Score: 9

Question:
"What happens if I have issues down the line; will it cost me extra for service?"
Answer:
that is a great question and a very understandable one. To answer your question directly we do provide a 3 year workmanship warranty on everything we do in your yard. That means for 3 years if anything goes wrong, we are coming to fix it free of charge. You will also have up to five years on pieces such as lights that is provided from the equipment manufacturer and will make sure all labor needed is taken care of on our end. We are here for once we have built your new paradise. So that being said if something does happen to come up after the warranty period give us a call and we will work with you to come up with a fair solution. Now of course you will endure some minor maintenance costs during this time. This is just like owning your car. The manufacture warranties the car but you still are responsible for changing the oil and putting gas in it. This is the same for your pool. You will need to keep up with the chemicals and once the warranty has expired you will need to take care of any thing that comes up. I can assure that this should be as minimal as possible though, because we build our pools with the best materials, the most reliable equipment and the upmost integrity! We proudly stand behind our work and your happiness. Do you have any questions or direct concerns I can address? What do you need from me to get your family enjoying their new paradise?
Feedback:
The response effectively addresses the customer's concern about potential future costs and service issues by clearly outlining the warranty coverage and emphasizing the company's commitment to customer satisfaction. The analogy to car ownership is relatable and helps clarify the ongoing responsibilities of pool maintenance. However, the response could be more concise; it might overwhelm the customer with information. The closing questions are good as they invite further dialogue, but they could be more focused on understanding the customer's specific worries rather than general inquiries. Overall, the tone is friendly and supportive, which is appropriate for this industry. To improve, you could streamline the information presented and ensure the closing questions encourage deeper exploration of the customer's specific concerns. Score: 8
